ANAHEIM, CA – The NAMM Show, music industry tradeshow, which returns to Anaheim each January, usually boasts of all the latest advances in music technology and gear, yet this year, two unique artists have joined forces to make your head-spin with some of the wildest musical instrument creations, from repurposing, that will dazzle the eye and tickle the funny-bone.

These creations come from two very different and distant parts of California: world-renowned ukulele artist, Ukulele Ray, of Escondido, CA, and from world-class pop artist and creator, David Hurwitz of Rocking The Clock, of Novato, CA, coming together to display and demonstrate their pieces at the 2018 NAMM Show.

No strangers to NAMM, and both well-known artists and musicians, Ray’s and Dave’s custom pieces, often sell well into the $100’s and $1,000’s in art galleries, so, as a collaborative project, they brought together their two inventions, creating “The Lunchbox Clox,” making affordable pop and folk art, which will be one of the hottest new items at their booth.

On Dave’s side, it’s a “HAVE TO SEE TO BELIEVE” display of extraordinary clocks, tables, lamps and fixtures, all repurposed from old, unusable musical instruments. From guitars to drums and old records to horns, nothing like you’ve seen before!

On the flip-side, is Ukulele Ray’s one-of-a-kind, handmade uke creations, featuring his world-famous Lunch and Cigar Box ukes, suicase drums kits, Derek Hall Cajons, as well as a special presentation of Kmise/Aklot Ukuleles and DirtBag Clothing.

Ukulele Ray and The Ray Band will perform regularly with appearances by celebrity guests and rock stars will be featured in LIVE jams throughout each day. Check the NAMM Guide for schedule.

On top of all this, The Rockin’ Rag Magazine, Rocking The Clock and Ukulele Ray are hosting Rock Against Human Trafficking with their special display of their custom guitar by Remco Meyer, augmented as home base for Renegade Radio, with an array of a rock star and celebrity guests visiting for interviews.

Rocking The Clock and Ukulele Ray will be located downstairs of the main Hall E, Booth #1001 at the Anaheim Convention Center, NAMM Show 2018.
