SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 25, 2018) – Gretsch introduces new Players Edition and Electromatic® Jet™ models, as well as additional finishes for the G2220 Junior Jet™ Bass II.
For 65 years the Gretsch Jet™ has fueled stages and studios, producing some of the greatest sounds in rock ‘n’ roll history. For 2018, Gretsch is extending its player-centric Players Edition lineup with brand new Jet™ models, available with either Broad’Tron™ or Filter™ Tron pickups.
The G6228 Players Edition Jet™ BT with V-Stoptail models feature the all-new Gretsch Broad’Tron™ BT65 pickups. Designed by the famed Tim Shaw, the BT65 meticulously captures the guitar’s sonic palette and reproduces powerful mids, extended lows, and an exceptionally clear, yet smooth high end.

Equipped with the Players Edition premium feature set, the G6228 Pro Jet also has a full-access rolled cutaway, mahogany neck, 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, aged pearloid Big Block inlays, anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, Gretsch V-stoptail tailpiece, Gotoh® locking tuning keys, TUSQ XL nut and strap locks.
The G6228 is available in Black, Cadillac Green, and Dark Cherry Metallic, as well as the left-handed G6228LH option in Cadillac Green.
