New York City, NY | October 2022 Gritty In Pink brought TECH x GRLS x ROCK N ROLL to the Big Apple for NYC Tech Week. On October 11, the female-led platform brought together some of New York’s finest up-and-coming female acts and held a showcase at the Mercury Lounge. The event was sponsored by Jagermeister, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Liquid Death, and partnered with charity Keep A Breast. The evening featured sets from DJ Krisbebe and performances by Tiktok sensation MegaGoneFree, rapper Mala Reignz, singer-saxophonist Gabi Rose with her band Enrose, alt pop/rock artist WRENN, the multifaceted Shenna, and the host with the most, Gritty founder Shiragirl.

The event brought the NYC tech and music worlds together, with guests in attendance from companies including Live Nation and Google. This was a night of celebration for women, from the all female line-up, to the soundbooth, down to the bartenders. Being the first NYC event for Gritty In Pink, this magical night lays the foundation for future Gritty events in the city that never sleeps.

Starting off the night, Mala Reignz warmed up the room with her disco-rap infused single “New Hustle.” Gabi Rose graced the stage with a cover of Lorde’s “Royals” and played original music. Attendees also got the chance to see the INPINK marketplace sizzle reel. Shenna made an ode to all the women working in the workplace with Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5.” Mega GoneFree debuted her new single “Black Fire” and gave her fans at home, a taste of the night by livestreaming her set on TikTok. Shiragirl paid tribute to rock legends Joan Jett & The Blackhearts with an electrifying performance of “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll.” WRENN serenaded the crowd with a stripped version of “Needed Me” by Rihanna. As the evening wined down, the group ended with an empowering cover of Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”
